The Inner Banks (IBX) region of eastern North Carolina has unparalleled assets of wildlife, forests, sounds, rivers, waterways, and beaches. It is also home to historical sites (pre-Columbian, pre-colonial, Colonial, Revolutionary, and Civil War) and numerous historically and culturally rich towns. Combined with the hundreds of miles of sound, river, and Intracoastal Waterway, these IBX communities are ideal locations for new tourism ventures.
